Our objective was to maximize the visual and working space within the confines of this small room. The HVAC in the attic was reworked to allow removal of the soffits, raising the ceiling to accommodate an eye-catching row of lit display space. Two full walls of efficient floor-to-ceiling cabinetry were custom designed to incorporate work space, file space, storage space, hidden pullouts for both a printer and shredder and adjustable shelves for books, collectables and mementos. The cabinets were painted “Simply White” to visually expand the space and brighten the room. A quartz countertop provides a durable working surface. An on-trend fandelier contributes to the room’s comfort. An indoor outdoor area rug provides texture and practical softness underfoot over newly installed hardwood floors. Most importantly, an inviting chaise lounge provides the spot to escape when my client needs a break from his paperwork pile.
