They wisely view staging as an investment, not an expense, providing an opportunity to earn tenfold returns. Their commitment to the process resulted in multiple offers, on weekend one, at full asking price and above neighborhood comps which more than compensated for their staging investment.
They did everything right. Their home was recently updated and painted in a neutral current color. Fresh, new art and accessories were purchased that they will enjoy in their new home. They rented the furniture, art and accessories that would help sell their current home in Texas but not be usable in their new smaller space in California. And they stayed “out of the way”… helping when asked, but otherwise giving Design Perspectives free rein to remove, add, rearrange and hang to showcase their home at its finest.
It certainly didn’t hurt that their home has a drop-dead gorgeous, lakefront view.
