For Her: A Beautiful Bath with Both Form and Function

A “guest bath”… actually a “kid bath” now.  With a daughter on the cusp of heading off to college, it will become a guest bath before long.  So the bathroom needed long-term appeal.

Prior to the updates, this bathroom did not meet either the style or functionality of this design-aware teen.  After observing the rest of the family’s home remodeling project, she had opinions.  She picked the marble for her countertop, her hexagonal floor tile and the “showcase” tile for her shower and sketched her vision herself.  Design Perspectives did the tile “math” and the tile CAD drawing and sourced materials to execute her vision.

For better function, a frameless shower replaced an unused tab.  A head-banger cabinet was removed, visually enlarging the space.  A taller vanity with function-friendly drawers was installed.  A shampoo cubbie and shaving niche made her shower more usable.

A new capiz-shell mirror, lighting and plumbing fixtures completed the transformation.  She’ll look forward to trips home from college!
